Perspectives for Mergers and Acquisitions for 2018

On February 21, 2018, the event "Prospects for Mergers and Acquisitions for 2018" was held at the WTC.

In addition to the debate promoted by those present, the event featured lectures by BR Advice's Founding Partner – Antonio Oliveira – on the M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) industry, the growth of this market and the relevance in family businesses, in addition to highlighting the importance of planning before starting the sales process; Alliar's shareholder – Dr. Nitamar Abdala –, who reported his experience with the sale of the company itself and stressed that it is essential to have psychological and strategic preparation for the post-sale; Goodyear’s and IMC’s ex-CEO – Jaime Cohen Szulc –, who outlined the current scenario and reinforced the importance of knowing who it is selling to; and also by Insper's Family Business Management professor – Luciene Franzim –, who stressed the importance of a prior tax study and organizing the company to value it in sales.
